Guilds in the Tri-Cities

Desert Sun Guild

The Desert Sun Guild was established in 1998. This group of about 45 women have established their niche as the hosts of "Savvy Affair--A Fashion Show" (link to events descriptions on this site). In addition, this guild hosts a Spring Gala, which includes gourmet food, wine and an auction. Please call Lydia (509-628-2952) if you have any questions.

Dr. L.G. Spaulding Guild

In the 1940s, Dr. L.G. Spaulding of Kennewick, Wash., began collecting donations at his church for Children's Hospital. His wife, along with Billie Jane Lampson and a group of their friends started the Dr. L.G. Spaulding Guild in 1952. This guild has about 60 members today and in past years, led the Holiday Tour of Homes.

Jennifer Van Zuyen Guild

In 1987, the Van Zuyen Guild was established in memory of Tri-City resident Jennifer Van Zuyen. Marge Van Zuyen and a group of her friends started the guild to raise money for the uncompensated care program. This guild hosts the annual spring Round Table in the Tri-Cities. Call Jacqueline at (509) 374-0607 for any questions related to their Guild.

Sam and Althea Stroum Guild

We welcome new members all year, so please contact our President, Maggie Shallman, at 627-4295 or Membership Chair, Pam McMenus at 509.375-5607 if you are interested in joining our group of fun and creative women.

Established in November 1996 by Joyce Goldsmith, the Sam & Althea Stroum Guild has about 30 members. We meet at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The group focuses on having fun while meeting our goal to serve the needs of children through donations to the Uncompensated Care fund at Seattle Children's Hospital

.
We do this through annual fundraisers, which include store tagging in the spring and our "First of Fall" event in the autumn. We support the Harvest Ball, which is a multi-guild event.
Interested? We'd love to send you a brochure.

3 Rivers Guild

The 3 Rivers Guild was started in 1990 by Claudine Mulvihill and includes about 30 members who love to experiment with creative fund raising ideas. They have hosted the Annual Spring Roundtable, volunteered each year to help with the Harvest Ball and Golf Tournament, and support other Guilds events, besides providing wonderful and elaborate auction items for these events. In 2001, they presented the play "Love Letters" for Valentine's Day, which included wine and desserts. Please call Dot (509-627-5622) for any questions.

Tri-Cities Women for Children Guild ("TCWC")

The Tri-Citites Women for Children Guild was established on January 16, 2002. The focus of this Guild is to provide assistance to the other Guilds when needed for their activities and events. They are developing a great new cookbook full of hundreds of favorite recipes of Guild members, their friends, and family, titled "Dish It Up". The guild already has over 25 members and is still growing. They meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 6:00p at Meadow Springs Country Club for a dinner meeting, and adjourn by 7:15p. This group is made up of active working women and mothers who try to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Please contact either Meg or Tonya if you are interested in joining this group of ladies.

Harvest Ball Guild

The Harvest Ball Guild's purpose is to organize the annual "Harvest Ball", the largest all Guild event in the Tri-Cities. Please call JoAnn at (509) 375-1676 if you would like to participate on one of these committees.
